In 1985 I was 23 years old, married and finally had a place of my own to live. I returned to my parents' home to get my Albert Hash fiddle made in 1976. Mom told me that Dad had fallen on hard times and had to sell the fiddle. I contacted the buyer and offered him twice what he gave for the fiddle, all to no avail. I told my wife if Albert built the old fiddle, I should be able to build one. I began to buy books, watch videos, buy blueprints and gather tone wood. Ten years later, I built my first instrument. Needless to say, I got the luthier bug. It has been 23 years now, and I am more excited than ever to start a new instrument, string it up, and see the smile on some unsuspecting musician as he or she draws the bow on that old tone wood.
Built with old red spruce (top), curly maple (neck, sides and back). The neck, tail pin, corner blocks and lining are all red spruce.
We will do everything possible to make your purchase a pleasant experience and will help you in anyway possible in the future.
